1.What is browser-safe color Palette?
The Browser-Safe Palette is the actual palette that Mosaic, Netscape, and Internet Explorer use within their browsers. It contains only 216 colors out of a possible 256. That is because the remaining 40 colors vary on Macs and PCs!
Browser-Safe Palette(216 colors)
2. What is web-safe colors?
A bad web safe colors! (So-no-no, it confuses you)
#1
#2
Can you differentiate which is Hue and which is Value?
Having difficulties? The first image is Hue and the second image is Value!
Fret not!
Adapted from the net,
“The browser-safe palette was developed by programmers with no design sense, I assure you. That’s because a designer would have never picked these colors.”
“The browser-safe palette was developed by programmers with no design sense, I assure you. That’s because a designer would have never picked these colors.”
So it’s okay to not get it right.
♥ A good web safe colors! (ensures all browsers to be able to read all colors)

#1 Hue

#2 Value
Easier to identify them?
3. How is it relevant in today’s context? Why?
They give us a basic idea and concept which is important. It has assisted many designers in their current work. Not only designers, students/learners like us also benefit from it even until now.
Why? Because until now there’s still designers and art students!
4. What are the common face fonts found on Macs and PCs?
- Windows: Arial, Courier New, Times New Roman
- Macintosh: Helvetica, Courier, Palatino, Times.
Arial
Arial is a sans serif face that has a streamlined, more modern look. It is easier to read on screen because it has narrow sides and thus, they look light when they are in smaller sizes.
Times
Times is one of the oldest font available. It is hinted to make it easier to read on screen.
Georgia
Georgia is a better choice for reading on screen than Times. It has excellent italics that are easy to read and are attractive!
5. What is page loading time? How it influence your design?
Page loading time is the amount of time a page takes to open fully. Usually, the majority of the page load time is spent in separate HTTP requests for images, javascript, and stylesheets.
A slow page loading time will influence your design as we all agree that people are impatient beings. In this society, no one wants to waste their time. According to what I’ve learnt last lesson, people would eventually leave if a page takes too long to load up. Thus, a great layout is good. However, that would be redundant if people doesn’t have the time to wait. In conclusion,
A great layout + Short page loading time
= An awesome design!

Read about Web design process article above and write what you think about it.
I find this article really practical and informative
when it comes to being handy and about being easy to comprehend. Instead of a wordy and draggy paragraph, it focuses on the keys of web design by using ’step by step’ and ’sub headings’ format. This is what a amateur web designer would seek for. This also allow the ‘lost’ web designers to catch every single procedure by following closely to whats on the web page. For example, “The seven phases of Web site development”, they will be,
Discovery
Content development
Design
Development
Launch
Post-launch
respectively. In any case, I(as a viewer) would then know what we’re supposed to look out for in website development immediately by looking at the point forms. Similar to the other web designers, I aim for efficiency and definitely, good quality. Thus, this boost my time spent and also, it provide me with a much more speedy method to complete my web on time.
Great resource on web design!
